As you think of ideas, you may want to keep in mind that the judges will be looking for the best hacks in the categories below.
Please note that the maximum team size is 4 people.
Please also note that in order to be eligible to win, your hack must use at least one Yahoo! technology. Please see developer.yahoo.com for a full list of choices.

Grand Prize - $5000 for the team

Awarded to the best hack overall. This is the hack that the judges are collectively most amazed by.

Best Technical Hack - $2500 for the team

Awarded to the most technically impressive hack. How much and how well can you build within 24 hours?

Most Creative Idea - $2500 for the team

Awarded for uniqueness, innovation, creativity and novelty. This winner elicits an "I've never seen that," reaction.

Best Potential Product - $2500 for the team

Awarded to the hack that judges can most easily imagine being launched and succeeding as a real product.

Yahoo Commerce Central Prize - a trip to IRCE 2014

A trip to the IRCE 2014 Conference in Chicago: including 3 nights hotel, conference passes, and invitations to the exclusive Yahoo Small Business party.

Hackers' Choice - iPads (1 per team member)

Every Hacker has the opportunity to vote for their favorite hack, so collectively, every participant helps select one of the winners.

Best Use of Yahoo Technology or Product

The winning team will get to come back to the Yahoo Sunnyvale campus to demo their hack to the Yahoo executive in charge of the product line that the hack falls into. For example, if you're creating a mobile app prototype, you would get to meet with our Mobile leadership. You'll also get a personal tour of Yahoo headquarters and lunch with Yahoos from product engineering in URLs, our delicious cafeteria.

Best Appcelerator Hack - $2000 for the team
This prize will be awarded to the best implementation of an Appcelerator-powered app. The app should be developed using Titanium software or implement Appcelerator Cloud Services.
