Things to Bring:

  • A wifi-enabled laptop
  • Your Official Hacking Ticket, in either printed or digital form.
  • Since the hacking goes overnight, bring a pullover or sweatshirt in case you feel cold at night
  • Not required, but you may want to bring a sleeping bag if you want to catch a nap on Saturday night.
  • We will provide you with food throughout the event, so there is no need to bring your own.

Hosting

You will need access to an internet server where you can host and demo your hack from if needed. If you don't have one already, you might try one of these:

Heroku - https://www.heroku.com

AppHarbor - https://www.appharbor.com

AppFog - https://www.appfog.com

Google App Engine - https://developers.google.com/appengine

Amazon EC2 - http://aws.amazon.com/ec2

Windows Azure - https://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/pricing/free-trial

GitHub pages - http://pages.github.com/

If you know of other good ones, please share them with fellow hackers here.
